When scanning with longer lenses (100mm+ full frame equivalent) its difficult to mask all the light coming in your scanning station. With the Film Carrier 35 Hood Extension you can extend the height of the hood by 3.25in so all side light is masked creating a more contrasty scan by eliminating ambient light.
Compatible with both the Pro and Basic Film Carrier 35 Scanning Hoods and the 35mm Film Scanning Hood which are sold separately.
